He has held a variety of positions at MITRE: leading departments and groups, development and technology projects, and served as the chief systems engineer of a US Command, Control, Communication and Intelligence system program. He has extensive experience in real-time surveillance, multi-sensor cyber-physical and IT-intensive systems and systems of systems (SoS).
He has worked in tactical and strategic systems, department and agency system engineering initiatives, international working groups, and cross-agency communities of practice. His experience includes strategic planning, concept exploration, program development, systems engineering and acquisition of government systems.
Rebovich serves on numerous SE technical committees. He is the MITRE representative to the INCOSE Corporate Advisory Board, and serves on SE technical committees of the IEEE and NDIA. He is the author of invited chapters in several SE books and is a co-editor of the CRC Press book Enterprise Systems Engineering: Advances in Theory & Practice. He is the technical lead on the MITRE Systems Engineering Guide and co-authored the DoD Systems Engineering Guide for SoS. He co-developed the “Wave Model” implementers’ view of SoS engineering and co-authored the 2011 IEEE International Systems Conference Best Paper.
Rebovich holds a B.S. (engineering) degree from the U.S. Military Academy, an M.S.
