Dr. Sitterle expanded her longtime SERC ties by becoming the first deputy CTO in 2025, aiming to cultivate research teams to “bring an innovative brain trust to bear on increasingly transdisciplinary challenges.” Her own SERC research has explored security in cyber physical systems, resilient systems, tradespace and affordability, and other topics. Before joining the SERC leadership team, Dr. Sitterle led and defined research on DoD programs, also serving as a chief scientist at the Georgia Tech Research Institute. Connect on LinkedIn.
