Stephen E. Cross

For almost two decades, Dr. Cross held executive roles at the Georgia Tech Research Institute, and he continues as a researcher in addition to teaching at the university. He spent 20 years as an officer in the Air Force, where he flew test missions, served in the Aeronautical Systems Division, and taught at Air Force Institute of Technology. He also worked as a program manager at the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency and served as a principal research engineer, director, and CEO of Carnegie Mellon’s Software Engineering Institute.
