About

Ruth’s dynamic career has traversed government, industry, and academia. She spent several years as a director at the Sandia National Laboratories and as a deputy director for science and technology with the Central Intelligence Agency. During her time leading Analytic Services, now known as ANSER, she secured a contract to establish the Homeland Security Institute Federally Funded Research and Development Center. Her SERC contributions include research on promoting DoD and defense industry collaboration for STEM education and workforce development, and she is also a fellow of SERC’s Acquisition Innovation Research Center.
