WRT-1041: Space and Missiles Center (SMC) Production Corps-Mission Engineering and Integration of Emerging Technologies (Principal Investigator: Dr. Michael Orosz, University of Southern California)—Aimed to improve existing DoD space-based software system acquisition processes and integrate emerging technologies and related education for the future workforce.
WRT-1043: Digital Transformation in Acquisition: Using Modeling and Simulation to Advance the State of Practice (Principal Investigator: Dr. Nicole Hutchison, Stevens Institute of Technology)—Aimed to explore how to convert knowledge gained through digital transformation into effective workforce training.
WRT-1058: Systems Engineering Modernization Policy, Practice, and Workforce Roadmaps (Principal Investigator: Tom McDermott, Stevens Institute of Technology)—Aimed to outline an integrated approach for implementing systems engineering modernization within weapon systems acquisition.
WRT-1064: SE Capstone Marketplace 2022-2023 (Sponsor: Capt. (Ret.) William Shepherd, Stevens Institute of Technology)—The Capstone Marketplace develops the next generation of systems engineers by annually connecting students with subject matter experts in the DoD and other government agencies to resolve context specific problems.
Research Workshop: Information Models and Ontologies to Enable Digital Engineering Report—SERC and MITRE hosted a research workshop that gathered stakeholders from government, industry and academia for talks on advancing digital engineering.
