Joint Undersea Warfare Technology Spring Conference 2018

Monday, March 12, 2018 - Wednesday, March 14, 2018

  • « SERC Collaborator WebEx
  • NDIA’s 2018 Human Systems Conference »

The NDIA’s Joint Undersea Warfare Technology Spring Conference will be held March 12-14, 2018 at the Naval Base Point Loma, FASW
San Diego, CA .The NDIA USW Conferences are one of the few opportunities industry has to learn about what is working and what is not working in USW, what the Navy needs help with and how and when industry may contribute to future initiatives.

All Navy platforms and elements of the Navy force structure are involved in undersea warfare: submarines, surface combatants, fixed and rotary wing aircraft, surveillance units, and the Navy’s command and control infrastructure. The USW Division has five active Technical Committees in which the UWD focuses on the navy’s mission areas: Sensor Systems, Mine Warfare Systems, Undersea Vehicles (including weapons), Aviation, and C4I and Combat Systems and Warfighter Performance.

This is a classified SECRET NOFORN, not for attribution, venue with the opportunity for attendees to hear from senior Navy leadership about the Navy’s operational and programmatic experience with USW.  Presentations at that level are encouraged.

Theme: “The USW Force We Need: Larger, More Distributed, and More Capable”
Objectives:

•  Identifying issues in the USW arena that need to be solved (capability gaps) to improve future robustness of US capability, with accompanying operational vignettes help provide clarity.
•  Current and future opportunities for industry partners to make a difference in responding to new challenges and solicitations.
•  Describing the fiscal situation and where there will and won’t be money for good ideas and implementations

Lodging:

Conference headquarters will be Naval Base Point Loma, FASW San Diego, CA.

Security Clearance:

The conference is SECRET/NOFORN, open to U.S. Citizens who have at least a Secret clearance and who work with U.S. companies.
