MODSIM WORLD 2019

[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]MODSIM World is a multi-disciplinary international Modeling and Simulation (M&S) event that provides a unique opportunity to learn about new M&S applications and practices across diverse domains. MODSIM World began in 2007 by the Virginia Modeling and Simulation Partnership (formerly the Center for Public and Private Partnership), a non-profit organization that draws membership from the M&S industry and community leaders in Norfolk and the entire Hampton Roads area. Specific areas of focus vary from year to year, based upon current events and interest levels. Focus areas for 2019 include:

• Mixed/Augmented Reality
• Cyber
• Defense
• Learning Science
• Homeland Security.

These focus areas or “themes” cut across the universal and enduring conference tracks of Training and Education, Analytics and Decision-Making, Science and Engineering, and Visualization and Gamification. MODSIM World 2019 will feature a robust agenda of papers and panels, industry workshops and competition events, as well as an exhibit floor featuring a variety of companies and organizations showcasing new advances in Modeling & Simulation TRACKS:

• Analytics and Decision Making: M&S for decision support, data mining, prediction, and analysis
• Cross Reality (XR): Enhancing training by utilizing M&S at the intersection of AR, VR, & MR
• Science and Engineering: Enhancing M&S from concept to integration to visualization
• Training and Education: Enhancing the application of M&S in training and education
