Dr. Blackburn’s SERC research has explored digital twin design architectures involving AI and machine learning, transforming systems engineering through model-centric engineering, and applying verification and validation of system behavior specifications. He also contributed to a multi-year effort to develop a digital engineering simulator for Defense Acquisition University and collaborated on developing a digital engineering competency framework. Career Highlights

  • Co-inventor of T-VEC, a theorem proving-based test vector generation system
  • Consulted for AT&T, Boeing, Citibank, Honeywell, Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, Qualcomm, Raytheon, Xerox and several other entities
  • Currently creating an ontology and using natural language process to automate the tagging on artifacts that will go into the INCOSE library
