On November 12-13, the Systems Engineering Research Center will host its 16th annual events series. The SERC Research Review will gather academic innovators, government sponsors and industry colleagues for a showcase of SERC research. The following day, the SERC Doctoral Student Forum will feature the next generation of systems thinkers competing for the Boehm Award.

Note: the deadline has passed for abstracts for the SERC Doctoral Student Forum.
To submit an abstract for presentation at the 12th annual SERC Doctoral Student Forum on November 13, please complete the SDSF submission form in the ‘Submit Abstract’ tab. The deadline to submit this completed form with a 1-page abstract and short bio (500-character limit not including publication list) is 4:00pm ET on Tuesday, October 8.
NOTE: Submissions are open to students currently enrolled in doctoral programs at SERC collaborating universities (see list below), Minority Institutions (MI), or Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU). Doctoral research does not have to be related to a SERC task to be included in the SDSF.
Doctoral students who are selected and accept are expected to present their work in person. All presentations will be 20 minutes (including Q&A). All materials must be cleared for public release. Presentation slides will be uploaded to the SERC website after the forum.
All doctoral student presenters will be considered for the Dr. Barry Boehm Award for Doctoral Student Research Excellence that includes a small monetary prize.
